“Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.” – Eckhart Tolle

Hello fellow bloggers, readers and internet surfers. For many years I have liked the idea of having a blog but have never managed to find the right style or category for my ‘blog’ until recently. After two backpacking trips through Europe and some corny-sounding mindfulness I finally feel as if I can express myself in the desired manner.

Why do I write? I write for myself, I write to try to understand concepts or themes that I am grappling with; I write to get to known myself better, but I mostly write for the love of it. For me there are few greater feelings after writing a passage that truly grasps the essence of life or the nuance of language. Other moments where this can be felt for me is taking a photograph that accurately captures the beauty of a moment, preserving it for a lifetime.

More about me – I am a person with way too many passions; photography, music, art, literature, travel, dance, to say a few. I have a yearning to live my life consciously, and to understand the beauty of a moment. For me this blog is a way to capture my journey of experience, and to share my thoughts and ideas with the unknown void, to send a part of me out into the universe – it’s not about being read, but about being written.

My inspiration: a quote from Max in ‘The Book Thief’, a line that has stuck with me; If your eyes could speak, what would they say?
